Lukas Wallentin is new Director of IoT Business at A1 Digital
Vienna/Munich, 4. September 2024 – In his role as the new Director of the IoT division at A1 Digital, which has expertise in digitalization and IT security and is a subsidiary of the A1 Telekom Austria Group, Wallentin will further develop industry-specific IoT solutions and managed connectivity services. In his role, he will draw on his extensive experience in the fields of information technology and telecommunications.

After completing his Master's degree in both Computer Engineering and Information Management at the Vienna University of Technology, he joined Alcatel-Lucent Austria AG as a Solution Architect. In 2012, Wallentin started his career as Senior Smart Metering Solution Expert at Telekom Austria Group M2M. In 2017, he moved to the newly-founded A1 Digital as Head of Solution Architecture. In this role, he led a team of IoT architects in the design and implementation of IoT and machine-learning solutions. As such, Wallentin was instrumental in building the software development team and the project management organization.
Moving forward, Wallentin is taking over responsibility for the entire Vertical Market Solutions team in his new role as Director at A1 Digital – a company that supports customers in the digitalization of their business areas. The team’s focus is on industry-specific applications in the Internet of Things (IoT) sector as well as cloud-based products for demanding applications and comprehensive cyber security solutions for medium-sized companies – from cloud to edge. In addition to enterprise security architecture and security monitoring, the team also focuses on network-as-a-service and SD-WAN – as well as dedicated, personal advice.
