InnoTrans is a leading trade fair for Railway Technology, Railway Infrastructure, Public Transport, Interiors, and Tunnel Construction. It features a track and outdoor area with 3,500 meters of rail for showcasing various rail vehicles and a Bus Display for vehicle manufacturers.
The trade fair is complemented by the live-streamed InnoTrans Convention. Organized by Messe Berlin, the event will take place for the fourteenth time from September 24 to 27, 2024.

Dr. Stein conducts research in the field of the Physical Internet and heads the research coordination department at Fraunhofer Austria. She is in close communication with research, technology, and innovation offices within Austrian ministries and serves as the main point of contact for national and international funding bodies. She is the head project director of the flagship project PhysICAL, which aims to implement the Physical Internet in Austria, and has led numerous national and international research projects in the fields of freight mobility and logistics. Dr. Stein shares her expertise through lectures at TU Vienna and also serves as the program director for the eMBA “Mobility Transformation” at TU Vienna. Additionally, she is involved in several associations and alliances.
Nicki Skujat studied transportation engineering and, after completing his studies, managed the dispatch department at the rail transport company Rail4Chem for several years. He has been working in the IT industry for over 20 years and has spent the last 10 years as Managing Partner and Head of Rail & Transit Solutions at DXC Technology. There, he and his team develop IT solutions for freight and passenger rail transport.
Stefan Mahlknecht is CEO and Founder of CargoMon Systems GmbH, after working for years as a researcher in the domain of Wireless Sensor Networks at Vienna University of Technology. His research and company focus was and is bringing energy-self-sufficient telematics and sensor solutions as IoT innovations to the market.
Olaf Lüdicke works as a Digital Business Consultant at A1 Digital. His areas of focus include IoT in rail freight transport. In this role, he advises clients of A1 Digital from the railway and logistics industry, among other sectors.
Jürgen Rudolf has been active in traffic telematics for more than 20 years. He was on the board of ATTC (Austrian Traffic Telematic Cluster) for almost 10 years and on the board of ITS-Austria for more than 4 years. His most important positions were at Kapsch TrafficCom, the Council for Research and Technology Development, Rail Cargo Group (a company of ÖBB) as Head of Innovation and now at A1 Digital as responsible for innovations in the area of Rail Insight.
